A throwback to the blogosphere days, Occams Laser really hits the nail on the head of french synth house, to the point where "Force Majeure" deserves to sit up there with the other producers of this genre. From the tantalizing synths of its titular track to the vocal "Nothing But Thieves" and "Quelle Surprise" or downtempo "Patterns", this album hits all the sweet spots one could hope for. If you enjoy the sounds of mid-2000's or VA-11 HALL-A, pick this up ASAP.
